Getting to know your babies moods is often challenging. Although it is very easy to tell when they’re distressed and desire something, it is much more difficult to tell when they’re happy. When your baby is firstborn, the site of your face and the sound of your voice are often very calming, but you might not realize it. A newborn just isn’t capable of demonstrating positive facial expressions. Therefore don’t be concerned when you find yourself grinning and cooing and the infant is giving nothing back. If baby stares at you, this is a very good indication that he is happy.
You’ll find nothing more satisfying then when a baby snuggles close to you. Did you know that is a sign that baby is happy, it is. That snuggle also means that you’re projecting positive energy for the baby. Infants are extremely capable of detecting your mood. Perhaps you have noticed a new mom who is not very confident about her parenting abilities, and just how fussy her baby is, this is because the infant is picking up on her discomfort. So an important factor is making sure your baby is happy is for you to relax and let go of some of the stress.
Among the best milestones that your baby will achieve is that of smiling. This happens between the 1 and 3 month time frame. There’s nothing like smiling at your baby and having that sweet face to smile back at you, it is sure to melt your heart. Babies also start responding to what you do at this time, so forget about being all prim and proper and act your silliest.
That infectious baby giggle starts around the three to six month mark. This is the time they find there funny bone and you never know just what will make them laugh. It could be a funny face that you make or perhaps a tickle to the foot. That laughing baby is music to your ears, so enjoy getting to know your child even better and find out what makes him laugh.
Babies really want to communicate with you and they start to get vocal within the 4 to 7 month time frame. They may not be making words at this point, but they will start to chatter. Despite the fact that these are just noises to you, encourage every syllable because he is learning to talk to you. You will observe occasionally the chatter gets higher pitched. He might do this when he is interested in something or really wants to let you know he likes something. So keep talking to him and let him talk back to you as much as possible.
Around 1 year babies starti to develop their sense of humor. They know they can make you smile and they’ll try various things to cause you to laugh. If they get a response, they’ll do it again to see if they get another reaction. So you now know some milestones of happy baby
