Creating a Modern Baby Nursery Around Sage Green and Chocolate
Soft shades of pink, blue and yellow are no longer top choices when it comes to decorating a baby’s nursery. Now, beautiful color combinations of chocolate brown and sage green have taken over baby’s room. The combination of these two colors actually balances each other out perfectly and are completely versatile. Which means that the colors fit both a boy or girl’s room. Chocolate brown and sage green can also create a fabulous modern nursery room for baby. And why not? Babies deserves to be stylish too!
Bedding
Modern bedding consists of simplicity and style. Fun and bright geometrical shapes, such as circles, squares and rectangles are modern and so very stylish. Solid colored bedding is simple but can be very modern and stylish as well. The Giggles bedding set by Trend Lab is a good example of a modern crib bedding set consisting of both simplicity and style. This crib set features geometrical designs mixed with solid patterns and stripes. It also includes the popular color combination of chocolate brown and sage green with small hints of yellow. Yellow goes great with the two colors.
Walls
A fresh coat of paint on the walls can do wonders in any nursery. Stick to sage green if you’re painting the entire room. Light colors give the room a sense of openness, while dark colors does the complete opposite. The chocolate brown can be used as an accent wall, if the room is too small. An accent wall will add a modern touch to any room in the home, which is exactly what we are trying to accomplish. But if the room is big enough, then go right ahead and cover the entire room with chocolate brown. Avoid dark colors on the ceiling. Finish the walls with modern geometrical wall decals and shelves. If the walls are sage-green then decorate with chocolate brown wall decor and visa versa.
Floors
Hardwood flooring and area rugs are very modern and easy to take care of, unlike regular carpeting. Area rugs are also easy to replace and come in many different sizes and shapes. Choose an 3 x 5 or 5 x 8 area rug, if you are looking to add a little flair to your baby’s nursery, without having to take up plenty of floor space. Choose an 8 X 10 or larger, if you are looking to cover an entire nursery room. Choose solid colors or geometrical shapes that will coordinate best with the bedroom decor.
